Looking for a Great Place for a Romantic Getaway?

If you would like to plan a romantic getaway, there are several things you should take into consideration. First, as always, is the money factor. If your budget is no object and you want to do something really special, how about a trip to Paris? It's the city of Romance! Or, if you're thinking tropical, Fiji is an absolutely beautiful place! These two places are both wonderful romantic getaways but they are very pricey.

If you want a romantic getaway that doesn't break the bank, a bed and breakfast just may be your answer! Many bed and breakfasts are an ideal place for your romantic escape. Wherever you live, there are sure to be bed and breakfasts within a couple hundred miles of you and sometimes they are right in your hometown. You just never realized it!.

So, now that you've decided on the bed and breakfast...you may be wondering how to find that special one for you and your sweetheart.

1. Make sure that it's for adults only! If you're planning on leaving your children home, you surely don't want to be bothered by someone else's. Many bed and breakfasts are child free!
2. Check to be sure your suite has a whirlpool tub for TWO! If at all possible, try to find one with the whirlpool in the bedroom or sitting room instead of in the bathroom. A whirlpool with a view...of the toilet...enough said!
3. And no matter what the season, make sure your suite has a fireplace! Fireplaces are just so romantic!
4. Find out if the bed and breakfast offers massage services. Some of them have massage therapists on call or on staff. A relaxing massage can be one the highlights of your getaway. And, you need to get rid of that stress if you're going to really enjoy yourselves.
5. See if they offer any packages that would add to the romance. Many bed and breakfasts have several different packages that will make your stay extra special. Fresh flowers in your room are always a beautiful touch, especially if you don't normally have flowers at home.
6. Go out for dinner and splurge on someplace really nice. Maybe the bed and breakfast even has a dinner that they can deliver to your door (in case you don't feel like leaving the room!)

Now, you've planned your location but are wondering what else you can do while you are away. How about a hot air balloon ride...especially romantic if you do it at sunset! Another choice would be a hiring someone to take you out sailing at sunset or just renting the boat if you already know how to sail. Carriage rides are wonderfully romantic, too! Just taking a stroll on the beach, walking hand in hand and spending time with each other is wonderful also! You just need to reconnect, get away from the job, the kids, the pets, the house and everything else that takes away from just focusing on each other.
